Become an Athlete’s Secret Weapon Approved Practitioner
A Professional Pathway Forged in Elite Performance
If you have a genuine passion for sport, performance and understanding what happens inside an athlete’s head when the pressure arrives, I want you to imagine what your career could look like if you became incredibly good at this.
Not simply another hypnotherapist who also works with athletes. I mean becoming known for it. Becoming the practitioner an athlete calls because you understand their world, their pressure and the difference between feeling great in a consultation room and being able to access that same response when they walk into a stadium, climb onto the blocks, sit in a race car or step into whatever environment decides their result.
That is what excites me about the ASW Approved Practitioner pathway.
For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of building my career inside sport. I have worked with thousands of athletes and more than 50 World and Olympic Champions, travelled with performers, sat behind the scenes during moments the rest of the world eventually celebrated and learned an enormous amount about what the human mind actually does when the result becomes important. The processes I now use were shaped inside those environments because elite athletes gave me something theory never could… immediate feedback. Something either helped them access their performance when it mattered or we kept working until we understood what would.
Now I want to share that experience with practitioners who have the same fire for this work.
And I want to start with you.
One of the most important parts of this pathway is that you experience the work personally before you start applying it professionally. I want to get you firing. I want you understanding your own thoughts, responses, limitations and potential at a completely different level because the practitioner sitting opposite an athlete becomes part of their performance environment too. Your confidence matters. Your ability to remain composed matters. The way you communicate, observe, respond and trust yourself matters, particularly when the athlete in front of you is preparing for something that may mean everything to them.
Then we take that person and develop the specialist.
You learn the processes, thinking and performance applications I have spent more than 20 years refining, while also learning to look beneath what an athlete initially tells you. An athlete may walk in talking about nerves, confidence, motivation or a performance that keeps disappearing under pressure. I want you becoming curious about what is creating that response, understanding why their mind is doing it and knowing how to create and integrate a better program so the change becomes available where they actually need it… in their performance.
As your experience grows, something else begins to happen. You stop feeling like a practitioner trying to find athletes and start becoming somebody athletes want to find.
That opens a very different picture of what this career can become.
Your consultation room may only be the beginning. Your work can take you into sporting environments, teams, competitions and opportunities you cannot completely predict from where you are sitting today. You may find yourself travelling with an athlete, being brought into a team environment or standing quietly behind the scenes while someone you have worked with walks out to create one of the biggest performances of their life. Nobody watching needs to know who you are. You will.
I can tell you from experience that there is something incredibly special about that.
There is also something I never had when I began doing this 20 years ago, and perhaps this is one of the parts of the Approved Practitioner pathway I am most proud of. You are not building this alone.
Around you is a deliberately limited group of practitioners from different places, backgrounds and experiences who share a genuine passion for this work. We learn together, challenge each other’s thinking, discuss what we are seeing, celebrate the wins and help each other develop. If somebody discovers something valuable, the instinct is to bring it back into the room so everybody becomes better. I am there mentoring and guiding that development, while the collective experience of the group keeps becoming more valuable every time another practitioner brings something back from the real world.
That is the home I want us to keep building.
Supportive enough that you can ask the question. Motivating enough that you keep raising your own standard. Experienced enough that you are continually learning from people actually doing the work. Collaborative enough that another practitioner’s success adds energy to your own rather than taking something away from it.
There will only ever be 55 ASW Approved Practitioners worldwide because I want to know the people carrying this work. I want athletes to recognise what the approval represents, and I want the practitioners inside it to feel that they belong to something they have genuinely earned their place within. Protecting the number protects the quality, although more importantly it protects the culture we are creating together.
I spent a long time keeping much of this work close because in elite sport an effective process is an advantage, and advantages are rarely given away. Eventually I realised that protecting everything by keeping it to myself also meant the work could only ever reach the athletes I personally had the capacity to help.
I don’t want that to be its future.
I want exceptional practitioners around the world taking this work into sports, teams and performance environments I may never personally reach. I want athletes having access to someone who understands that their mind is not separate from their performance. I want coaches and organisations recognising ASW Approved beside a practitioner’s name and understanding the standard that sits behind it.
And I want the practitioners themselves creating careers they are incredibly proud of.
So if sport is something you already find yourself talking about long after everybody else has changed the subject, if performance fascinates you and the thought of becoming genuinely exceptional in this specialist area gives you that little feeling of this is where I belong, then perhaps this isn’t simply another training course to add to everything you already know.
Perhaps this is where all that training starts taking you somewhere.
Come in, meet the team and see what we’re building.
Built in the Heat of Competition
The Athlete’s Secret Weapon system was created through lived experience inside high performance sport. It was not developed for marketing. It was shaped in preparation rooms before finals, refined across seasons, and strengthened through work with 50 World and Olympic champions.
Their success sharpened the processes.
Their feedback refined the detail.
Their pressure ensured the system held steady when it mattered most.
For many years, this work remained private because it provided a competitive edge. Opening it to practitioners is deliberate. It carries weight. It protects standards.
A Culture of Respect and Depth
During a recent Development Squad session, one of the Approved Practitioners spoke openly in welcoming the 2 new Certified Practitioners and without preparation. She described the respect she feels for the work, for the results behind it and for the fact that something so personal and powerful is being shared in this way.
She spoke as someone analytical and measured, not easily impressed. She described following each step exactly as taught and experiencing genuine shifts in clarity, confidence and business growth.
Her words were simple and sincere.
That moment reflected what this collaboration is built on.
Not hype.
Not theory.
A solid foundation, built on proof of results.
You Experience it First
Before you ever guide an athlete through these processes, you go through them yourself.
You experience your own performance alignment. You notice the change in your thinking. You feel steadiness in your decisions. You see the impact in your positioning and your business.
Elite athletes sense authenticity immediately. They respond to practitioners who embody the work, not simply describe it.
This pathway develops that embodiment.
Structure. Mentorship. Development.
The journey begins with an intensive 4 day live online training designed to immerse you fully in the philosophy and structure of the system.
From there, you enter the Development Squad, for 1 hour each week, where application and refinement take place under weekly guidance.
The Locker Room mentoring sessions run for 2 hours each week, providing direct feedback, case review and ongoing professional development. Over twelve months, repetition and correction build confidence that feels grounded rather than forced.
This is deliberate development.
Protected by Design
This collaboration is intentionally capped at 55 practitioners worldwide.
That decision protects the quality of mentoring, the integrity of the intellectual property and the professional positioning of every practitioner inside the ecosystem.
Upon completion of the initial training, you continue through a three month development period before assessment for Approved Practitioner status. Approval reflects readiness in delivery, presence, professionalism and alignment with the standards of the work.
Standards protect value.
Value attracts serious clients.
My mission is to grow the ‘go-to collaboration’ of Approved Practitioners changing lives around the world. Are you next?

For Practitioners Who Recognise Quality
This is not a fast track. It is a deliberate pathway for trained hypnosis professionals who feel drawn to sport and high performance and who value mentorship, structure and collaboration at a serious level.
For 20 years I have worked alongside elite athletes and business leaders at the highest level. The processes inside this pathway were inspired by traditional hypnosis foundations and then refined, rebuilt and strengthened in real performance environments, shaped in pressure, adjusted through experience and proven through results.
For many years this door remained closed. Not because it was exclusive for the sake of it, it is because it was personal. It was built in rooms that carried trust. It gave athletes an edge. I was protective of that, releasing it was not an easy decision.
Opening it has been one of the most humbling experiences of my professional life.
Watching Approved Practitioners now working with World Champion clients of their own fills me with a pride that is difficult to describe. It is not pride in a system. It is pride in people. Pride in seeing professionals step into their authority. Pride in knowing that athletes around the world will continue breaking through barriers because this work continues beyond me.
This is the open door that was once private. The secret has been released with care, with structure and with support.
If you feel recognition rather than excitement as you read this, that matters. Recognition of depth. Recognition of alignment. Recognition that you are ready to step into something forged rather than invented.
Complete the application form and arrange a conversation. We will confirm alignment together.
The system is proven.
The support is steady.
The standard is clear.
If this is your path, you will know.
