Bronze Performance Partnership

Take a seat… I’ve got you.

By the time we begin a Bronze Performance Partnership, something important has already changed between us. You’re no longer walking through my door wondering who I am, what this is going to feel like or whether I really understand what happens inside an athlete’s head when performance matters. We’ve completed your Competitive Edge Intensive together. I’ve listened to you, challenged you, learned how your mind responds and begun understanding the person underneath the performance. More importantly, you have experienced the work for yourself.

Now you get to take everything we’ve created back into the place it was designed for… your sport.

This is where Bronze becomes exciting for me, because training and competition start giving us something incredibly valuable. They give us real feedback. The changes we created during Competitive Edge begin meeting pressure, expectation, selection, winning, losing, improvement and all the unpredictable moments that come with being an athlete, and each experience gives me another opportunity to understand you more deeply.

When something feels different, I want to know why. When you produce a performance that surprises even you, I want to understand what became available so we can strengthen it. If an old response appears in a new situation, I want to understand what triggered it and what your mind was trying to achieve before that response has the opportunity to become familiar again. Even when everything is going brilliantly, I’m still interested, because success tells us just as much about your performance as the moments you find difficult.

This is where more than 20 years of experience becomes increasingly valuable because I am no longer analysing isolated moments. I have context. I know where you started, I understand what we changed during Competitive Edge and I can connect what is happening now with the patterns and responses we have already uncovered together. Something you mention almost casually may connect with something I noticed months earlier, and that accumulated understanding allows us to keep getting more precise rather than continually starting again.

There is a reassurance in that relationship too… You can get on with being the athlete.

You can train, compete, travel, chase selections, enjoy the breakthroughs and deal with the occasional moments when sport decides to test absolutely everything you’ve been working on. You aren’t expected to analyse every thought or constantly monitor whether your mind is behaving correctly. We have already given you the tools to understand and influence your own performance, and Bronze is not about taking that independence away from you. It gives you somewhere trusted to bring the things you notice as your sporting life continues to unfold.

Take a seat… tell me what’s happening.

I already know the backstory.

That changes the conversation because we can spend less time explaining how you arrived here and more time understanding what this moment is showing us. We can look at the cause underneath the response, decide whether something needs changing, strengthening or simply understanding differently, then give you something useful to take back into your performance.

Over 12 months, those conversations and experiences begin building on each other. Your Peak Performance State isn’t something we created once during Competitive Edge and then placed carefully on a shelf. It becomes something you understand, use and continue developing as you develop. The athlete competing 6 months from now may be dealing with opportunities, expectations and levels of performance that simply weren’t part of your world when we first met, so our work has the opportunity to evolve with you.

I also want us to enjoy what goes right… That matters to me.

Elite performance can become so focused on finding the next improvement that athletes sometimes barely experience the thing they spent years trying to achieve before attention moves to the next target. If you produce something extraordinary, I want you to feel it. I want us to understand what you created, recognise what changed and allow that success to become evidence your mind can carry forward rather than another result you immediately place behind you.

Because Bronze isn’t 12 months of looking for problems, it’s 12 months of building on possibility.

You have already shown yourself through Competitive Edge that changing what happens internally can influence what becomes available externally. Bronze gives us the time to see what happens when those changes are allowed to live, strengthen and evolve through a real season of your sporting life, with someone beside you who understands what we created and cares deeply about where it can take you.

There may be periods where everything flows beautifully and you need very little from me. Great. That’s evidence that what we’re doing is working and that you are becoming increasingly capable of managing your own mental performance. Then there may be a competition, decision, opportunity or unexpected moment where having somebody who already knows you becomes incredibly valuable again.

You don’t have to rebuild the relationship before we can get to work.

Take a seat… I’ve got you.

Your Bronze Performance Partnership

Bronze is a 12 month continuation following your Competitive Edge Intensive, designed for athletes who want to keep me involved as the work moves from the Performance Centre into the reality of their sporting life.

Your initial $3,950 USD Competitive Edge Intensive created the foundation. Bronze is a separate investment in the following 12 months of our work together.

I think it’s important to present those investments separately because I want the decision to continue to be yours. Competitive Edge gives you the understanding, processes and tools to take responsibility for your own mental performance. You don’t need to enter a Performance Partnership to protect what we created. Bronze becomes valuable when you have experienced the work, understand what having me in your corner brings to your performance and decide that you want that relationship to continue.

For some athletes, Competitive Edge will be enough. For others, it will feel like we’ve just opened the door.

If that’s you, Bronze gives us the next 12 months to walk through it together, with the history we’ve already created behind us and an entire season of performances, experiences and possibilities still sitting in front of us.

You bring the athlete. I’ll bring everything I’ve learned from more than 20 years of quietly helping athletes discover what happens when more of their potential becomes available.

And we’ll see where your performance takes us next.

Maybe Silver suits you better?

As your performance grows, the relationship we have built gives us choices about how closely you want me involved in what comes next. Bronze may continue to give you exactly the connection, understanding and support you want, particularly when you know I am there, I know you and we can pick up the conversation with all of our history already behind us.

You may also be looking at what is ahead and recognise that having me closer now carries a very different value. The opportunities are bigger, what you are working towards means more and the future we talked about when you first sat in my chair may already be starting to look remarkably like the life you are living. Having more time together gives me the opportunity to understand those changes with you, stay closer to what is happening around your performance and use everything I already know about you to help prepare for where those results may take you next.

That is what Silver creates. It isn’t Bronze with something added on top, nor is it an automatic next step. It is a closer Performance Partnership with more time together and a greater commitment from both of us, which is why Silver is only available through application and mutual agreement. We both need to see the value in working more closely together and believe that the relationship fits what you are building.

If you’re reading this already imagining what having me closer might mean for your performance and the opportunities ahead, have a look at Silver and see what that relationship could become.
